Caravan Shuttle — Driver Position

Position Overview

Caravan Shuttle is seeking a reliable, safety‑focused, and customer‑service‑oriented driver to join our transportation team. This role is responsible for providing scheduled shuttle service between the central Oregon coast and Portland International Airport (PDX), ensuring passengers experience a smooth, timely, and professional ride.

Drivers represent Caravan Shuttle on every trip, and must uphold our standards for punctuality, communication, and guest care. This position requires strict adherence to schedules, safe vehicle operation, and consistent interaction with passengers in a courteous and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Caravan Shuttle vehicles safely and in compliance with all state and federal transportation regulations.

• Arrive at all pickup and drop‑off locations on schedule and maintain route timing.

• Assist passengers with boarding, luggage, and seating as needed.

• Provide clear, friendly communication to passengers regarding schedules, policies, and travel updates.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable vehicle interior and exterior.

• Report any mechanical issues, incidents, or schedule disruptions promptly to management.

• Follow Caravan Shuttle procedures for passenger check‑in and manifests.

• Uphold Caravan Shuttle’s standards for professionalism, courtesy, and guest experience.

• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and document findings.

• Adhere to company policies regarding wait times, cancellations, and passenger no‑shows.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Minimum 25 years of age- insurance requirement

• Ability to safely operate a passenger van or similar vehicle.

• Strong punctuality and time‑management skills — must reliably meet strict departure and arrival times.

• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.

• Ability to lift and assist with luggage (up to 50 lbs).

• Comfortable driving in varying weather conditions and heavy airport traffic.

• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution‑oriented when flight schedules change.

• Must pass background check and driving record review.

• Must pass drug and alcohol screening.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in airport transportation, shuttle driving, or commercial passenger service.

• Familiarity with PDX airport layout and operations.

• CPR/First Aid certification.

• Experience using mobile apps for navigation, scheduling, or communication.

Work Schedule & Compensation

• Scheduled route shifts between the central Oregon coast and PDX.

• Compensation based on experience; additional details provided during interview.

• Opportunities for additional shifts depending on seasonal demand.
